PMMA Tube

The PMMA tubes stand for Poly (methyl Methacrylate), also known as acrylic or acrylic glass. In the business world, the trade language for a PMMA tube is known as Plexiglas, Lucite, Crylux, Acrylite, and Perspex, among several others. The PMMA tube is generally considered one of the most transparent plastics in the market.

PMMA is a transparent thermoplastic; it is generally used in sheet form as a substitute or alternative to glass, offering both transparency and shatter resistance. On the other hand, it can also be used in inks, as a casting resin, and in coatings, among other applications.

PMMA is an amorphous, transparent, and colorless thermoplastic that is hard and stiff, yet brittle and notch-sensitive. It has a great scraped area, UV protection, and astounding optical clarity; however, it has poor low-temperature resistance, weakness, and solvent resistance. Though flammable, it has a low smoke emission.
